Why I am a Therapist?

I thoroughly enjoy my job for the sole purpose of seeing my patients succeed and reach their goals. Making that personal connection with people and helping them through a tough time to reach their goals motivates me to learn and grow in my field so more people can reach their goals. Suffering minor sports injuries in college lead me to the field of physical therapy. Becoming a Physical Therapist allowed me to combine my education in anatomy and biology with my enjoyment of people and staying active.

Continuing Education Commitments

Through the motivation of seeing patients achieve their goals, my eagerness to learn more about the human body, treatment techniques, and the best care possible for patients begins. Staying active in literature and physical therapy topics, as well as attending continuing education courses, helps me keep up to date on the most effective treatments. My goal is to complete and obtain my specialist certification in orthopedics and become certified as a Pilates instructor to better serve my patients.

Nicole Stutte, MSPT

Physical Therapist

Why I am a Therapist?

As a physical therapist I can make a positive difference in peoples’ lives helping them to overcome physical obstacles and achieve their goals. I love the relationships I am able to build with my patients as their therapist working with them to improve their quality of life, helping them recover from an injury, improving performance in recreational and competitive athletics, and just participating in the activities they love. This is what truly brings value to my career.

I have a strong background and passion for helping people affected by neuro-muscular deficits and disorders including stroke and brain injury, post-surgical and the traumatically injured. The first 16 years of my career have been devoted to a hospital and an inpatient rehab setting. After my transition to Sheridan from Casper, WY I quickly found the joy in working at Core Physical Therapy and the exciting challenges this setting brings.  Recently, I have taken an intensive STOTT™ Pilates course in order to become a certified instructor with the goal to add a more unique approach in assisting patients to develop core strength and prevent injury. The knowledge I have gained from this course work has given me better balance in my own life. Performing Pilates has given me the perfect balance of strength and flexibility in my body that lets me enjoy everything else I love doing (whether it is playing with my kids, exercising, or working at the clinic).

Certifications

Education

Montana State University, Bozeman, MT Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology 1997

Personal Interests

I love spending time with my husband and three children. Working part time allows me the best of both worlds where I can dedicate some of my time at the kid’s school being involved with the PTO and work with my kids in their classroom.  As a family, we love to go camping, and fishing, play games or watching movies.  We travel many weekends for basketball and soccer and love to go to community sporting activities.  I personally love to go for walks with our puppy, workout, and spend time with my mother.

Roger Klein

Roger Klein, PTA

Physical Therapy Assistant

Why am I a PTA:

As a PTA I can work as part of a team to help an individual achieve their goals, whether that goal be to recover from an injury, restore independence, or even enhance their athletic performance. I thoroughly enjoy interacting with each and every person that walks through the door, and the true value comes when they walk out the door with their goals accomplished. I find the body and its mechanics so intricate and borderline beautiful, working in the physical therapy setting of healthcare allows me to help others heal, improve, and perfect their own mechanics and function.

Education:

North Central College – Naperville, IL: Bachelor’s of Arts in Exercise Physiology; Minor in Psychology
Carrington College- Boise, ID: Associates of Science in Physical Therapy Assistant.

Personal Interests:

I live a very active lifestyle as a post collegiate athlete. I enjoy running, hiking, backpacking, biking, fly fishing, but sometimes I can be a little lazy and binge watch a series on Netflix or spend way to much time on a video game. Best of both worlds. I have a passion for photography as well, nature, portraits, weddings, and sports all give me a wonderful avenue to capture moments that will never happen again.

About Me:

I grew up in the suburbs outside of Chicago, IL. I participated in club, high school, and collegiate cross country and track and field. I graduated college with two NCAA DIII All-American Honors, one in cross country, and one in track as well as a team National Championship title in cross country. I went on to assist coaching at Boise State University before attending PTA School. Moving out west helped me develop my keen eye needed for photography and I can rarely leave the house without my camera. I moved to Sheridan in 2016 and it’s taken a little bit of getting used to, but I can honestly say Sheridan is a unique and beautiful place to be. I’ve grown to love the mountains and wading through a river with my fly rod on the search for trophy trout. If you ever see me out and about, don’t hesitate to say hello!

Pilates Instructors

Regan Reedy

Pilates Instructor

I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion.  I am also a certified Massage Therapist and a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.  I have always considered myself a passionate health and fitness advocate, and I have been in the business of health and wellness for 14+ years.  I have worked in physical therapy, massage therapy, personal training, and group fitness settings.  All of which, have shaped my focus and energy on providing motivational, therapeutic, science-based sessions to clients.  I believe in placing great importance on continuing my education, and that is why I am so excited to add the Stott pilates reformer to my repertoire. This functional, stabilized, mind-body exercise focuses on the core in re-aligning the body, which in turn, promotes balanced, efficient movement.  The comprehensive certification is exactly what I have been looking for, and after having 3 kids in 4 ½ years….my body was definitely in need of core work and balance!  I grew up in Sheridan, and couldn’t be happier that my husband, Will, and I are now raising our 3 amazing kiddos here.  I love this community and the surrounding area, as they provide a great environment and many outdoor activity opportunities.

Pilates Instructor

Hi!  I have lived in the Sheridan area for over 20 years. I am a Registered Nurse and mom of three great kids! I enjoy long walks, hiking, pilates, yoga, reading and traveling.  I was first introduced to mat pilates in in 2013 and loved it. It was great for mind and body! In 2016  I was introduced to pilates on the reformer.  I had been having some lower back pain. My physical therapist prescribed core strengthening exercises incorporating the reformer. Using the reformer was very beneficial! Not only did it improve my back pain, I felt stronger and found a new way of exercising that I very much enjoyed and was safe for my body.

I was given an opportunity to participate in a Stott™ Pilates instructor training program at the start of this year. I am very excited to further my education in Stott™ Pilates and instruct others!  I have definitely seen results in myself and I am very excited to work with others to obtain their fitness goals.

Candice Casey

Stott Pilates Reformer Instructor

In December 2018, I joined the Pilates instructor team at Core. I am a certified Stott Pilates Instructor, and I’m so thrilled to be part of this team. My experience with Pilates reformer work began after four surgeries on my hips which suffered injuries due to 40 years of running. My personal gains with the reformer were amazing, including regaining hip mobility and improving my posture and balance greatly. I love using the reformer for core work and jump board for cardio and strength, and enjoy Pilates mat work at home.

Encouraging students with challenges and improving fitness is very rewarding to me. Getting to know Core Pilates students personally and their health journey has been a real pleasure.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and Human Resource Management from California State University Hayward. I spent many years working for corporations in San Francisco and Children’s Hospital in Oakland, CA. In 2005, my husband, our son and I moved from the San Francisco Bay Area where I was born and raised to Big Horn, WY. I am the Operations Manager at Sheridan Community Land Trust.

I love spending time with my best friend – my husband. I love to visit with our college-age son when he’s home or at his home in Seattle. I like spending time with friends, hiking, cross country skiing, spinning class, and gardening. Cooking and enjoying ethnic foods is also a hobby. I hope to meet all of the Pilates students at some point soon.
