Megan Cannistraci, PT

Pilates Instructor

I have been a physical therapist for 39 years and in those years I’ve searched for a comprehensive strengthening plan. In 1998 I began doing Pilates and really felt like it was the missing piece for me and my practice. In 2000 I was certified and have enjoyed teaching and practicing Pilates. I enjoy how Pilates incorporates mind, body, breath and soul when done correctly. There are so many different exercises, pieces of equipment and modifications that you can never be bored with its application. I enjoy helping people meet and surpass their goals of movement, function and quality of life.

I have always thought the human body was amazing and I knew I would go to school for something in the medical field. My Physical Therapy work career has taken me from pediatrics to adult orthopedics/sports medicine to my final stop in women’s health and pelvic floor care. Physical Therapy allows me to help others have hope in their body after sustaining an injury or dysfunction.
