Physical Therapy Assistant
Why am I a PTA:
As a PTA I can work as part of a team to help an individual achieve their goals, whether that goal be to recover from an injury, restore independence, or even enhance their athletic performance. I thoroughly enjoy interacting with each and every person that walks through the door, and the true value comes when they walk out the door with their goals accomplished. I find the body and its mechanics so intricate and borderline beautiful, working in the physical therapy setting of healthcare allows me to help others heal, improve, and perfect their own mechanics and function.
Education:
North Central College – Naperville, IL: Bachelor’s of Arts in Exercise Physiology; Minor in Psychology
Carrington College- Boise, ID: Associates of Science in Physical Therapy Assistant.
Personal Interests:
I live a very active lifestyle as a post collegiate athlete. I enjoy running, hiking, backpacking, biking, fly fishing, but sometimes I can be a little lazy and binge watch a series on Netflix or spend way to much time on a video game. Best of both worlds. I have a passion for photography as well, nature, portraits, weddings, and sports all give me a wonderful avenue to capture moments that will never happen again.
About Me:
I grew up in the suburbs outside of Chicago, IL. I participated in club, high school, and collegiate cross country and track and field. I graduated college with two NCAA DIII All-American Honors, one in cross country, and one in track as well as a team National Championship title in cross country. I went on to assist coaching at Boise State University before attending PTA School. Moving out west helped me develop my keen eye needed for photography and I can rarely leave the house without my camera. I moved to Sheridan in 2016 and it’s taken a little bit of getting used to, but I can honestly say Sheridan is a unique and beautiful place to be. I’ve grown to love the mountains and wading through a river with my fly rod on the search for trophy trout. If you ever see me out and about, don’t hesitate to say hello!
