Brianne Martin, OT

Occupational Therapist

Why am I an OT?

I found OT after a couple experiences where I got to work with and learn from an occupational  therapist. In both instances I left thinking how cool it was that I could have a job like theirs where my primary goal was to help a person reach his/her goal. I love that I get to help people of all ages learn a new skill, relearn a skill, or build on their capability with a skill after an injury or disease process. I look at the person as a whole, considering all factors for recovery. My experience includes pediatric, upper extremity orthopedic, and neurological treatments. I have experience working in an outpatient clinic, a hospital setting, and in home health settings. I enjoy the outpatient setting the most, and love that people come to us motivated to get better! The best thing about being an OT is that I get to work with all populations and ages of people.

Personal Interests:

I love spending time with my husband and dog. We spend a lot of time outside in the summer fishing and kayaking, just staying as active as we can in the beautiful Wyoming weather. I enjoy gardening and am working on perfecting my green thumb for veggies and flowers. Staying active is important to me, so I typically keep myself busy with friends and family.
